Understanding the 'Wrong Mounting' Notification
If you received a 'Wrong Mounting' notification, then one or both of the following occurred:
-
You incorrectly inserted your CITYPLAY sensors into your straps.
-
You incorrectly placed your straps onto your boots.
As a result, the only data that you'll receive from your post-session analysis includes the duration of your activity.
Why Mounting Correctly Matters
Mounting your CITYPLAY device correctly is required for your sensors to accurately record your session data.
Receiving this indication also means that the PDF activity report of the relevant session won't be sent to the contacts that are found under 'Activity Reports' in your Privacy Settings.
Optional In-App Strapping Test Before Your Session
To help you avoid incorrect mounting, there's a feature in the app that lets you check your strapping before your session begins:
-
Once you start taking out your sensors from the case to start the recording, a pop-up will appear in the app asking if you want to test your strapping.
-
You’ll need to put your sensors on and then walk for 10 seconds.
-
If everything is OK, you’re good to go and can conduct your session.
-
If not, the tester will go over the strapping with you to make sure you put them on correctly, and you’ll be able to test again.
This is an optional step before your session, but we highly recommend using it to ensure accurate data collection.
