Welcome to the JPL x CITYPLAY experience! If you’re a player participating in the JPL program, this article will help clarify everything you need to know about the JPL Leaderboards, Scouting Cycles, eligibility, and what to do if you’re having trouble with your data.
What Are the JPL Leaderboards?
The JPL Leaderboards track and rank the top-performing players based on data collected from their CITYPLAY device. These leaderboards are updated every Tuesday, highlighting players who have performed well during the past weekend’s matches. Rankings are published on JPL’s official Facebook and Instagram channels.
How the JPL Leaderboards Work
-
Data Collection: The leaderboards only include data from matches that have been tracked with CITYPLAY. These rankings are updated every Tuesday based on the previous weekend's fixtures.
-
Where to Find the Leaderboards: The rankings are published on JPL’s official Facebook and Instagram channels, so keep an eye on them for updates!
Why Might a Player’s Data Not Appear on the Leaderboard?
In some cases, a player’s data might not appear on the leaderboard due to the validation process. If data doesn’t pass validation, it is automatically excluded from the rankings. Below are common reasons this might happen:
- Unlinked Account: If your CITYPLAY account isn’t linked to JPL, your data will not be eligible for the leaderboard.
- Validation Failure: Occasionally, data may fail validation for technical reasons, such as syncing issues with your CITYPLAY device or missing match data.
How to Ensure Your Account is Eligible for the JPL Leaderboards
To confirm that your account is linked to JPL, follow these simple steps:
- Open the CITYPLAY app on your phone.
- Go to Settings > CITYPLAY Account.
- Look for “JPL” written in your account details.
- ✅ If "JPL" is displayed, your account is correctly linked and eligible for the leaderboard.
- ❌ If "JPL" is not displayed, please contact jpl@playermaker.com for assistance in linking your account.
Once your account is confirmed, your match data will be included in the leaderboard updates!
JPL x CITYPLAY Scouting Cycle: What Is It?
The JPL x CITYPLAY Scouting Cycle is designed to identify top players and provide them with the opportunity to be scouted by professional clubs. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works:
Scouting Cycle Dates
- Scouting Cycle #1: March 17, 2025
- Scouting Cycle #2: May 19, 2025
If your player is unable to participate in Cycle #1 due to injury or other reasons, Scouting Cycle #2 offers another opportunity to be scouted.
How the Scouting Cycle Works
- Data Collection: All players’ data is collected and analyzed from their CITYPLAY devices. The data for Cycle #1 will be collected until March 17, 2025, and for Cycle #2, data will be collected until May 19, 2025.
- Data Review: CITYPLAY Scouts & experts from professional clubs will review the performance data to identify standout players.
- Showcase Games: The top players will be invited to exclusive showcase games at elite facilities. These games provide players with the opportunity to prove their skills in a high-performance environment.
